I'm Back... I Hope

Hello to anyone who still reads this.  I am feeling 100% better and my plan is to get back to normal life -- which means normal blogging.  The baby is doing great.  We had an ultrasound yesterday and things are perfect.  We find out next month what gender it is.  Until then, I am going to try to post DIY and home decor stuff like I used to.

Today I'm going to show you a project I am so proud of.  When I was at my mom's house a few weeks ago she had just bought a dining table and chairs from a neighbor.  The table needed to be sanded and refinished so I was going to help her do that but it turns out that we did other things and didn't get to it.  I did show her some pictures to give her ideas of what to do with it though and she took it from there.  I love what she did!

  1. Very nice! I've been admiring white painted furniture with stained tops for some time. Finally jumped in and tried it on a small end table with shelf and drawer and it looks great. A couple minor flaws but I'm happy with it. Would love to do our kitchen table and chairs the same way. Need a bit more confidence!

    1. Do it, Shauna! It's just the same as a small table. I bet yours looks great! And there are always some flaws. Character.

  2. Kelli! I love the table and chairs!! They look cute as can be and so inviting! and let me say, I've been so out of the loop for 2 whole months that I was surprised to see your news! Congratulations! My reasons were a little reversed ... with our youngest leaving home. Ah, life ... truly a good thing.

  3. That's the exact same set we have here! Not sure what I'll do with ours yet, but if I come up with something different, I'll send you pics.

  5. This turned out beautifully. I'm sure the chairs were no fun to paint. Ha ha. Did she use spray paint or regular?
