Feature Friday: Gallery Wall

I absolutely love gallery walls.  LOVE them.  We have a wall in between our dining and living rooms at the bottom of the stairs that I decided would be a great place for a gallery wall of a photo shoot we did at JC Penney during the summer after I "won" a huge discount at Meridian's Dairy Days.

I envisioned 6 of the 11x13 photos of Morgan in white 16x20 frames with mats.  I found some frames at Ikea but they were square so they wouldn't work.  I looked everywhere and everything was either $40 per frame or not the right size.  Finally I found some brown frames that worked.  They were at Micheal's for $8 and I had a coupon for 25% off so I bought six of them and a can of white spray paint.  I want 10 more.

Here are some other inspiring gallery walls.  I could really have them all over the house.

  16. It looks great! I love that you used only photos from one shoot; it makes the look very cohesive. I'm working on a gallery wall in my hallway right now, and the frames are painted. I'm just waiting to decide if I like how the newspaper placeholders are situated before I start hanging them!
