Pumpkin Porch Decor

It poured in Boise on Monday (and when I say poured, I mean it lightly rained for most of the day -- I've been in rain storms in the south... totally different).  But I loved every single minute of it!  I decided to take Morgan to the house down the street that has a "pumpkins for sale" sign so we could buy some seasonal decor.  We got 7 pumpkins for $10!  That kills the grocery store price!  Plus, Morgan got to walk around in the rain and mud and pick her own pumpkin.  I wish I would have savored that mommy moment more at the time.

Yesterday Morgan and I got to put them on the porch as decoration.  The little one in this picture is M's pumpkin.

She was so excited when I put these together.  She loves snowmen!  All I did was cut the tops of of the bottom two and place one on top of the other.  These are just balancing right now.  I'm sure I could stick a rod through them for sturdiness, but I don't want them to go bad soon so I think I'll just chance it.  The leaves are three garlands that I got at the craft store 2 years ago.

Welcome FALL!

  1. I was reading this post with my son in my lap and now he wants to make a pumpkin snowman, but he is insisting ours had a nose, eyes, and a mouth! Love the display!

  2. I'm hoping to do something like this too - love yours! I was kind of thinking of using hot glue to stick them together but was worried that would make the pumpkins go bad too. I'll just have to see! :)

  9. So pretty! You're gonna want to put a pan or something on the chair seat so the pumpkins don't ruin the finish :D Thanks for linking to Wicked Awesome Wednesday!
