The 5th Day of Christmas: Sheet Music Ornament

I hope you guys have been having fun preparing for Christmas.  I certainly have.  On Monday night we made sugar cookies for prisoners.  When we were first asked I was all like "what?!" but then I thought of Shawshank Redemption and Prison Break and how some were good guys and some were innocent.  Besides, what would Jesus do?  So I'm happy we made them although I can't stop eating them so hopefully there are enough left for the prisoners.

Tuesday we had a church party for the women and I got to know some more great people and eat awesome food.  It's been a good week so far.

Today's project is something I've seen all over blogland.  You might think that since the title of my blog had "piano" in it that I'm all musically inclined.  Hopefully this doesn't burst any bubbles but, I'm not.  So this DIY Christmas project isn't really my thing but I do think it is cute.

I totally apologize for the quality of these pictures.  I must have made the camera shake when it was taking them because they are all a little blurry.  Anyway, here is a tutorial on sheet music ornaments.

I used decoupage (ie Mod Podge), an ornament, brush and copied sheet music.

First I ripped the sheet music into small pieces.

Then I decoupaged the pieces of sheet music onto the ornament. I did a layer of decoupage on the ornament then a layer over the paper.

I let it dry for a few minutes.

Then I tied it onto the tree with red ribbon.

There you go!  Super simple and pretty much free if you already have the stuff like I did.

What are you working on for Christmas?  If you have projects will you leave me a link in the comments so I can check them out?  I'm always looking for inspiration!
