I come from a family that LOVES Christmas. My dad is like Clark Griswold on National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. He buys more lights every year... and puts them up. My mom teases him but I really think she encourages this obsession. Anyway, coming from that, how could I not love it too? Since I do, I'll be sharing a bunch of Christmas things over the next couple of weeks. Maybe it will be the 12 DIY decor days of Christmas, but I can't fully commit to that right now. However, consider this day #1.
Remember this fall wreath?
Now it is a Christmas wreath.
All I did was take the leaves and chalkboard off and hang some ball ornaments from the center before adding a bow. I used string that you can cook with, but yarn or fishing line works too. It was so easy that this is the tutorial. I've seen it on a rectangle frame too and it looks amazing.
Linking up at the great Linky parties found at the bottom of the blog. They are where I find most of my inspiration! Check them out!

The thing about your dad and the lights is so funny...I swear my (artificial) tree must get bigger every year because it seems like I always need more lights.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, this is such a great idea (pinned it!)- I love ideas like this that have so many possible variations. Yours is amazing with the crisp white next to the colors of the ornaments...plus the shape of the frame...total yumminess! I'll be adding this to my "must do" projects list.
