Okay, this is the first post I have done since we left for our vacation over two weeks ago! I'm so excited to be back and doing one post per day instead of four million in prep of a vacay.
Anyway, if you remember, I couldn't find my passport two days before we left for Florida. Well, I didn't find it at all but it turns out that Disney Cruise Line accepts your drivers license and original birth certificate in lieu of a passport. I found that out on Sunday, 6 days before our cruise. On Monday I called Utah and ordered my birth certificate (because I couldn't find the one I had either... crummy bad organization!). I paid a lot of money to have it expedited and over-nighted (which means it can take 3 days) to Florida. We flew to Florida on Tuesday. I received the birth certificate on Wednesday (3 cheers for those state of Utah employees!) and enjoyed Jacksonville and our friends on Thursday and Friday.
We boarded our cruise on Saturday and stopped at Castaway Cay, The Bahamas, which is Disney's private island (note to self: buy a Bahamian island some day). I wanted to take pictures of us in our jeans and white shirts so we disembarked fully clothed and snapped pictures before changing into our swimsuits.
I don't know what was up with the lighting but I got zero good pictures of my face (maybe it wasn't the lighting...). I don't, however, mind this butt shot of my cute new Miss Me's so it is the newest 16x20 hanging in my room.
We went back to Castaway Cay after Grand Cayman and Cozumel and I decided to take a few more pictures. We were there later in the day and it was cloudy.
This pic is my fave by far! Aren't they so adorable? This is the thing I am most thankful for in the world. Happy Thanksgiving, by the way.
I read this book for book club by Tori Spelling and she said that she always takes pictures from one angle because it looks better than the other side of her face. Well, I realized that my good side is my left. Now if I'll just remember that for next time.
Again, I'm so happy to be home. There really is no place like it. I've missed you all!
